Elizabeth Holmes Fraud Trial

Interesting to heard about Fraudster Elizabeth Holmes and her pending trial for Theranos. In another strange twist she is now blaming her ex-boyfriend and COO saying he coerced her and was under his spell. According to CNBC analyst Scott Cohn he said to Wilfred and Sarah about the Steve Jobs of Turtle Necks in the level of Fraud at Theranos.

The experts say it comes down to intent did she intend to commit fraud or was she under a spell? If she was in this silicon valley fake it till you make it culture and didnt believe there was a fraud or didn't really believe or intend that there was a fraud being committed than it was not a crime and she has a chance of getting off. This fake it till you make it and brand jacking culture is huge in the start up and entrepreneur world.

Can we blame Elizabeth Holmes based on the interview that just aired on CNBC? After hearing that you may think differently but if you watched the Netflix documentary detailing how they knowingly submitted bad tests and were giving people bad health advice it would be very hard to let her off scotch free.

I hope that justice will be served as there are a lot of great entrepreneurs in the healthcare space who are struggling to land deals because of scammers like Elizabeth Holmes and how that shook up the startup world and hurt female founders that looked up to her.

Practice Effective altruism. The EA life contributes and is a sustainable mentality to help whether through your powers or by earning and giving back. Those who practice Effective altruism create an ecosystem for a better tomorrow.

If you've ever gone through twitter and read the latest comments on any political person, entrepreneur, celebrity or famous persons tweets you will be shocked about the intelligence or lack there of. It's a scary thing to see and I contemplated starting the Richart D Ruddie words of wisdom podcast. The premise of the show would be trolling through tweets on twitter and comments on Instagram and seeing what outlandish commentary people are saying on the internet.

The comments that I've seen are a combination of scary and people really need to educate themselves more on logic and ethics. As a friend who is a state prosecutor said that he's all but lot hope for humanity dealing with the criminals and the system. The people who come through the system have no hope of rehabilitation or of being educated to think differently and are a big issue we deal with as a society. While I hope he's incorrect it's interesting in hearing his opinion after working in the court system all this time and comparing that to the comments that I see on social media on posts and the issues that we as a society will have to deal with in the future.

Theoretical physicist and genius Richard Feynman has some great life advice and he had a very storied career. He was a famous code breaker and I had the pleasure of reading one of his great books which is a fan favorite. None the less todays quote of the day comes from him and is as follows:

Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough. Work as hard and as much as you want to on the things you like to do the best.
