Sad news for the sports media world as Real Sports With Bryant Gumble is coming to an end after this final season. Hoping that somebody picks up the slack and continues on the series.
Had some nostalgia with this list and was surprised to see movies like the Goonies and Back to the Future ranked higher up the list and the Fox and the Hound a film that I don't remember at number 1. Was great to see The Land Before Time and Who Framed Roger Rabbit in the top 5 as those were absolutely my favorite movies when I was growing up.
While the Dumb & Dumber film was not actually filmed in Aspen, Colorado the directors do shoot for some accuracy. The hotel labeled "The Danbery" used in the movie was actually the Stanley Hotel located in Estes Park Colorado which is 200 miles away and 4 hours and 30 minutes by car if driving down to Aspen. The police cars used in Aspen, Colorado at the time were Saabs like the one pictured below:

After the villains Nicholas Andre and JP Shay get arrested at the end of Dumb & Dumber they are hauled away in a Saab Police car even though Estes Park, Colorado did not use Saab Police cars while Vail & Aspen Colorado did as you can verify for yourself in the clip below.
Stories that seem almost too good to be true that would make for a great film would certainly be the Babani Sissoko film. This is the story of the man from West Africa who used his black magic skills to get a middle eastern bank to give him over $200 million dollars. He ended up in hot water in Miami was arrested but was so generous and helpful to the community there that the judge was lenient on his sentence and let him go early. In the end he's back home in Africa now living a quiet life but the hope is that a film about his wild story is created one day.
