Richart Ruddie on the importance of Culture

Culture is great not just for business but for learning the ways of the world. Thats why there is such an important emphasis to diversify your travels. Traveling around the world to new countries, cities, provinces/states, and continents that you only hear about in books or the internet growing up. When you do so you have the opportunity to learn about how other societies operate. 

When you experience a new city it's enlightening to meet people of different cultures, try their food, view their buildings and architecture, see the spirit of the people and this helps to change your perspective from potential subconscious biases you may have had previously. When you return and meet somebody from that culture or place you've visited you now have something to talk about and the ability to relate. Outside of reading books this is a great way to build knowledge, understandings of others, and traveling and eating are a great way to live life to the fullest. 

So if you follow my ZeeMap or Mapster showcasing all the places "Richart Ruddie" has been to know that there are so many more and yet so little time to make it to them all but if there's a will there is a way.

Rich Ruddie AI Future Playbook

AI is going to change the way we make graphic designs for blog posts, create art, nfts, create royalty free music and sound clips. There's so many positive benefits being created with the future of DALLE-2 and the AI revolution thats on the horizon. Here are a couple of cool references to check out and use:

https://app.inferkit.com/demo - This lets you put in subject matter and see how the machine writes a story around it.

Google CoLAb - This is the place to get started for Machine Learning and has a monthly fee.

Robert Bruce Carter covered an AI Jukebox where the Github list of 4,111 artists are compiled and used to make sound clips and music. You can see his story about it here.

For image creation on the fly you can register with OpenAI this is a game changer that is going to destroy the royalty image business overnight. Think about how the iPhone destroyed MP3 players. Who is going to want stock images of a team at work for a fee when they can generate it via AI in seconds and ensure it's unique and is not going to be recreated?

For fun I put in Richart Ruddie to see what images would be created in the OpenAI image generator and here is what it created:

As you can see I don't look like either men on the left or right and I don't have a sculpture or statue in a square but maybe it was focusing on Rich and Art? That could be the reasoning for the ship sailing. To determine if a photo is created via OpenAI look for the colors of the rainbow in the bottom right corner.

Since I'm an art collector and fan I typed in Picasso Painting on the Beach. The initial photos had an easel on the sand. A clear operator error that was adjusted to "a picasso painting of the beach" and this is what it generated:

Richart Ruddie Book Recommendation - Abundance

Abundance by Peter Diamandis and Steven Kotler it another highly recommended book to check out. Diamandis talks about creating high impact and social entrepreneurship like companies that will affect billions and create positive change in the world. From solar energy, clean water, and vertical farming are just some of the many discussions that he opens the readers minds up to.

If you haven't read any of Diamandis' books then this is a great one to start off with before moving onto to Bold which is his follow up to Abundance.

The Real Reason Zuck is Traveling around the Country

I've been meaning to write this tiny excerpt on why I believe Zuck and his wife Priscilla have been traveling around the country as part of their 2017 goals. The journalists and media were fast to conclude that the reason was a possible future run for president. As somebody who loves to travel and meet people from different cultures and backgrounds not just in the USA but from all over the world I can say that the reason for the travels is to become better acquainted with the world outside of Silicon Valley.

When you travel you see how other people live, you learn to eat what they eat, experience what they experience on a daily basis, and most importantly you learn from them. The more you learn about other peoples way of life the more understanding you become. It's important to see the world through somebody elses lense and viewpoint and life is all about learning and culture.

So in my opinion that is the reason for the traveling. I look forward to seeing more of his updates on his travels and the lessons we can all learn from the great people he and his wife are interacting with across the country.

Had one of the nicest compliments this past weekend. A new friend said "Chart do you know why I like you?"

"At the end of the day you're just a genuine person Richart Ruddie"

You're not looking for anything from anybody, you are just here to be happy and have a good time and if you can facilitate others to be happy as well then you do your part to ensure all others around you are happy.

I was telling a new friend as we shared a Lyft into the city about this interaction and he noted that it's great that you can showcase this without trying and others notice. In life I've blogged about making it and then mattering. I strive to reach a pinnacle and a second part of my life where I can matter in making the world a better place and helping to solve initaitves that really matter.

That is why I appreciate the Chan Zuckerberg initiative

"We want every child to grow up in a better world. Our hopes for the future center on two ideas: advancing human potential and promoting equality."

Use your power for good and be genuine and stop wanting something from everybody around you and then you will have found peace in yourself to grow as a human. 

Richart Ruddie - To Be Deeper With You

Ever have certain sayings that you want out of your vocabulary? Certain sayings may affect you negatively and you may not even notice it. For example saying "To be honest with you" might imply that you are not always being honest. Do you want to work with somebody who is not always honest? So I make a conscience effort to say something different and last night heard "To be deeper with you" as an alternative.

Other sayings to avoid: "I had a stressful day" avoid setting off these poisonous sayings that breed negativity and think positively.
